The Mona Lisa is, all at once, one of the most beautiful as well as one of the most mysterious of women. Eternally youthful there is, in the intelligent high brow and the quirk of her smile, the air of deep knowledge and wisdom. Who better, then, to inspire my own work than my own mother? It is no small thing that I titled this 'The Most Beautiful Woman in the World'.
